Dale, I haven't been following the news on ANCR, but it looks like January effect to me.

With these parameters:
* small market cap,
* small institutional ownership, and
* very low RS,
it had all the makings of a tax loss selling stock in Oct - Dec.

Now it is January and it is bouncing up sharply. If you want to see something similar, look at the chart for PNDA around the end of 1996 and beginning of 1997.

I wouldn't short any such stock in early January.

Dale, re. time zones, yes I'm a little closer to you now. Still can't get there on the autobahn, though :-)
