All :>>concerning Sony's Vaporware<<

This is pure speculation as to why Sony would come out with
a competing product to the Zip and at the same time ramp up the
inclusion of the Zip product into their boxes.

This was done perhaps because they were not able to get enough
Zips to satisfy their customers demands .

If you look at the potential market , some 100 million boxes sold
every year , and the fact that Iomega is only producing some 13-14
million zip drives a year at this point in time . There has to be a
shortage in the channel .

If I were in charge of an OEM , and could not get enough Zip drives
to satisfy my customers demands , I would tell Iomega that if they
could not furnish me with the Zip I would produce my own even if it was only " vaporware " .

They call this " good old fashion arm twisting " ,

Another Iomega long ,

Herb
