No money here... But

Well Grace, here's something I've been pondering lately. It has to do with technology. On a number of other threads there is General concern about the future or man in regards to automation. Driverless cars, drones, robots, 3 d printing (really slow replicators), AI etc. what in the world are we all going to do? Then I thought about it. If in fact we create a world where a man does not worry about his daily existence could this be the new beginnings of our next advancement. I remember one of the Star Trek next Generation shows(ahahha would probably know the number) when the Enterprise caught up with a group of 21st century humans Frozen for future Healthcare. During one scene with the capitalists Jean-Luc Picard said that economics do not work the same in this century versus when you lived. We are not obsessed with financial accumulation....... should all these Technologies actually thrive and humans no longer need to toil to meet their basic needs, the necessities of life will be to challenge the unknown and perhaps strive for the future. Like most things unfathomable, no one can see a future without money. But a future where one can pursue their interest without regard to ones basic necessities and solely for their own knowledge and amusement well those would be truly exciting times. I'm not sure how I would do in such an environment.
