Perhaps gentle persausion is a better word than arm twisting. As you mentioned arm twisting can be detrimental, no mention at all (as we have seen) is also bad. A lot of judgement and balance needs to exercised.

Cymer needs something equivalent to "Intel Inside" for the steppers like "Cymer Inside".

A one line mention like yesterday's Canon annoucement is no skin off of Canon's nose but is good press for Cymer. Due to the limitations on Cymer's Press releases, this type of annoucement is one of the few ways for Cymer to get the word out.

If you have any suggestions to balance the need for Cymer to "get the word out" and maintain their secret arrangments with the steppers, I would like to know. (I am sure that Cymer IR would be interested also.)

One last comment- All good long term relationships are mutually beneficial with neither side having too much of the upper hand. If they do, things fall apart, companies go out of business, bad feelings, etc. I believe that stepper companies need Cymer as much as Cymer needs them.
