Good Morning...<yawn> I went to see "As Good As It Gets" last night <Tuesday night and the theatre was packed.> If you like "Bad Boy Jack" and dysfunctional people (I guess most of us qualify...heh,heh). I'd recommend it. Good story, good acting and some great lines The reason you probably didn't recognize a platform is because the Democrats decided to "borrow" it. Remember long ago in a galaxy far away the freshmen in Congress had a point-by-point agenda of what they stood for and wanted to address before the end of their term. I think that was as definitive as we could hope for either party to get. I have such a strong distaste for Clinton I can hardly think straight when the discussion turns his way. I had the same problem with Nixon so this is not a "party" thing. Although this is a very non-professional approach..I had a "gut" feeling about both of these characters. In my estimation..neither of them did anything to disappoint my "gut." In regard to the "far right" segment of the Republicans..I think a lot of that was hype. It stuck more than the counter attacks of the "far left" of the Democrats. Then of course the illustrious media jumped on side they normally do...the poor...the downtrodden...the Democrats? (when was the last time you saw a Kennedy in a food line...I know Ted's been in a liquor line..) Bill's best accomplishments...could be a tie. He has brought public manipulation to an art (of course there are more lemmings then ever before in our history), drafting all the charges against him, securing more funds for the Democratic party, insult the men and women of our military and the veterans....there's more but I just got some unnerving news on this end...gotta' go for now... T.R.
