Clayton, you may have a point here. Teaming up with the 'snake-oil' salesman and pissing off the technology leader (Intel) is certainly not s wise move.I am of the opinion that CPQ needs Intel more than Intel needs CPQ,at least in relative terms. This Sanders guy has proven time and again that he can't not perform and meet commitments and further it appears AMD is all about Sanders' ego, oneman show, and 'flash',how else could you explain the departure of Vinod Dham the guy behind K6.He seems to be more interested in his Rolls Royce and gold jewellry (heard he had to get rid of the Rolls due to investors revolt, who else would drive around in a chauffer driven Rolls when the company is loosing money big time).Poor Jerry, I heard now he has to be content with the Mercedes. And lastly, the sooner Pfeifer realises that this is not in Germany any more, the better.I would hope somebody tell him to put a lid on his (i am talking about the German here not the sanders guy) arrogance, as we have seen many a time arrogant, flashy, CEOs eventually pay the price. It would be nice if he imitates some one like Jack Welch of GE instead of following Jerry Sanders. |
