RE: Point and Shoot. I bot a Canon Rebel a couple of yrs ago, and am OK with it, but I don't think it takes any better pictures than a good old P&S. The nice thing about the Rebel is you can add great lenses. I'm not enough of a photo snob to want to have to lug around all the lenses it takes to get great shots though. I am tempted to buy another p&s for our trip to EU next Fall.

And agree about the lenses on phones. Qualcomm was touting it's Mirasol technology yrs ago, but it looks like it was all a bunch of hooey.
