What a stupid comment.

BP was punished PLENTY without the $30 Billion Obama extorted. Ignorant.

And BP paid every nickel in addition to that -- far beyond every nickel -- required to clean it up. Hell, they paid reparations for shit that had nothing to do with the spill.

And the entire thing was overblown. Just like in the Ixtoc1 spill, it was a nothingburger everyone panicked about. And it was apparent as it was ongoing that it was being blown out of proportion.

The event was, as the BP CEO put, "tiny", in relation to the Gulf. You have a couple hundred million gallons of oil, max, over 90 days. Meanwhile, there are a half quadrillion gallons of water already in the Gulf, and another billion dumping into it every five seconds.

It is just hyperenvironmentalism on the parts of the brilliant Democrats who have no sense of proportionality.
