I do believe the intervention into the GM bankruptcy was 100% political payoff to the unions. There is no other reason for that to have occurred.

And welfare is a payoff to poor people. You may not agree with paying off poor people in that way, but it's not corruption. Only if Obama or people close to him were members of the union might you have a point.

I have not looked at any of those matters so I don't know the details. I'm operating in the abstract. It's the job of elected officials to do things that please their constituencies, which gives them political clout. When you sneak something, not necessarily cash, into the pockets of yourself or yours, that's corruption.
