CTV News was first to report on the government’s plan – which is said to tally $867 million in various forms of aid. A formal announcement is anticipated sometime today. What we need to consider today is whether the Liberals risk inflaming tensions with the White House. Keep in mind the U.S. Commerce Department has already slapped one set of duties on Canadian softwood, with another round possible later this month.
