I have a good friend who built a $100M Ready Mix enterprise, about 100 trucks I think.

He saw the Teamsters as his partners. They worked things out as win-win.

Sometimes he had to hide his collaborative relationship from hawkish co-owners and vendors. The head of the Teamsters here had to act tough and mean in front of his membership too. A lot of wink-wink.
