The company needed to secure funds and under the climate it was under ............. financing was done at undesirable levels, nobody, not even management would dispute that the pricing was regrettable ............. but it was necessary.
So let me see, you insist I did an Undress, which I find a bit funny. When in fact it was a duplicate of what you just said.
The point is and was, we got here because of unfortunate circumstances that worked against us. There is no fault as you clearly indicate to me. You have explained shareprice from a Management perspective and I have explained shareprice from a Market Perspective. Markets are unconcerned whom "they" are. Markets are mechanical. If you move widget A, then widget B moves in a pre-predictable pattern. Markets are not interested in understanding why something happened, they look at the end result. So my analysis is from a Market Perspective yours is from a Management Perspective. Both are entirely consistent and both are totally accurate.
I do Market Impact Analysis, I do not do Management problem and interference analysis because in the end the Market makes the decision. Perhaps this is why I come across as callous sometimes? Too be honest I have never looked at it the other way before because in my 35 years of history I have never gotten to know a CEO of a Company. I have always looked at the Markets for a true assessment of performance only. So as they say, you are never too old to learn something, perhaps I have. But in your determinations you assume there is a callous intent which you should now realize is not the case.
In 99% of the cases I can give you an accurate read why a stock is where it is at, numerically and Market Capitalization. All of those reasons have absolutely no feelings for Management or anyone else because its a market analysis, not a Management analysis.
So when you move Widget A with a 52 week Low PP, Widget B has a predetermined move. The market does not care why you had to do it, never has and never will. Markets are cold, and predictable.
So your efforts at pointing out an Undress of people in general, to me are patently self serving. I never look at a stock or a market with purpose of undressing a person!
Markets reward success and failure or notches in between! They do so, not based on Color, Creed, Philosophy, good guy, bad guy, the markets reward on what is presented to them. It is totally emotionless, totally removed from opinion and the purest of assessments at that time, its why I use it.
If there is anything in what you have said, I do understand your point but I have NEVER done analysis of Management in my Life, thats why you fell on deaf ears with me. When I am asked to expound why a stock is where it is, I can get into the things that have to be done to run a company which do move Widget A or B but I never approach it from a Management position, never have never will. |
