Chas

I am only looking at the Stock price, My GTW short paid for my 2 GTW machines.
Market looks a little weak today. Something about Currency impactine earnings from the AP, or just general weakness in a sector (ATML)

Last night I came to the conclusion that there is a posibility that DELL may miss their EPS expectation of 75c.

Their quarter does not end untill Jan 31. October was good, November was weak, and then Dec was better than Nov.
But in Dec, CPQ stuffed the channel and there are all of these price cuts here in Jan, the last month of DELL's Quarter.
DELL has to sell a lot of machines in Jan to make their quarter and they do not have a $799 PC. I know that no one here thinks that this is imnportant, but at the rate these new machines are coming out, it may become more important.
2) as more and more companies in tech land disappoint, that hurts confidence. Jan may see a significant slowing from DEC in total sales.
Combined with the fact that CPQ stuffed the channel big time to make their quarter,....
Well I think it was Meathead that said that the only threat was a slowdown in units, Could it happen, I am starting to think so.
