I am new to this site so I am not sure how much Apple ( Mac Pro ) discussions take place here.

Let me introduce myself.

Being a Bi (Windows and Mac) person. I presently enjoy with some sadness the agony that pro-am Mac Pro users are having, dealing with the lack of respect Apple has given their computer community in recent years. Since the iPhone successes, Apple has really turned their back on computers and actually everything else. I bought the last model of Ipod ver 7 est? and recently found an eBay company which would convert the 160 g HD to a 256G SD drive. Which makes it much quieter and more power efficient. I also am a big Ipad user having gone through 3 older models and now have a Ipad Pro 12.9 256G version. It is relatively heavy, but I like the larger screen, It saves straining the "old" eyes.

I have owned a Mac Pro for a few years maybe 5 years ago and also built Hackintosh machines for entertain/challenge purposes, as I stated in an earlier post. I like knowing and understanding both sides
of that debate. I never got into Linux because I am more of a hardware guy. My first "owned" machine was the Epson QX-10, in 1983 while living in Hawaii. I thought it was a dream machine costing $2995. computinghistory.org.uk (CPM Z80 Chip).

Sadly a few weeks after I got the Epson, Apple released the Mac. I have built and owned maybe 12-15 machines since then. Fro a while I think I built a new machine each time Intel upgraded their CPU design. 8080,8086, so on and so on. I even ended up working for Intel at Microsoft for a time in 2006-7 working on their servers installed at Microsoft.

Here is a good article on what Apple may be doing for the Professional computer users.
