Spank, "Which compatibility is more important is easy to answer..."

I won't comment on your opinion but think about this:
1) Almost all PC still has a floppy drive.
2) There are still software distribute on floppy today although most of them are now on CD.
3) Most patch/driver/add-on are distributed on floppy.
4) To install a CD-ROM or Win95/NT/OS2, you need a floppy unless the installation program distributed on a bootable CD AND the user has CD bootable BIOS.

5) Majority of PC (don't have exact figure but more than 70%) doesn't has Zip.
6) I don't see any s/w company distribute their software/update/driver on zip.
7) While it is possible technically, most people will not install a CD-ROM or Win95/NT/OS2 by Zip.

8) A PC without floppy/network will have many problems installing s/w and transfering data (some of our workstation really don't have a floppy installed but they are not NetPC).
9) A PC without Zip is still a complete PC, Zip is only a add-on device which is nice to have.

Now think again which compatibility is more important.
I have nothing against Zip, in fact I like the idea and will probably bought one for myself if the media is cheaper.
