Sorry for the late response. Jack, I suspect we'll always have to pay for more bandwidth in the WAN. That is... if you move from T1 to T3 the company will be charged more for the bandwidth - on a recurring basis as well. IN the LAN you pay only once... when you install the fiber. So regardless of WDM, more bandwidth will still cost more money in the WAN. IMO
