Firefox issues (or lack of same)...

Like SI Ron I am experiencing no unusual lag problems (or in my case, any other unusual problems) with Firefox on any of the 3 desktop system I am currently running on an L-shaped workstation. All are kept current and all have an identical start menu (Classic Shell), and virtually identical desktop layouts and GUI. All are tweaked in virtually identical fashion. All run the same email clients (SeaMonkey and T-Bird). MozBackup is used to backup Firefox, SM, and T-Bird.

• I'm Running Firefox v 53.0.3 32-bit on a 64-bit i5 based Dell i5 Inspiron Win10 Home system put in service 18 months ago. Over 90% of my day to day computing is performed on this system. The system drive is backed up automatically once per week prior to patch Tuesday.

• I'm Running Firefox v 53.0.3 64-bit on a an i3 based HP Pavilion W7 Home system put in service 5 years ago.

• I'm Running Firefox v 53.0.3 32 bit on an 8 year old ultra-budget priced AMD Athlon Dual Core based Compaq Presario purchased 6 weeks before Win7 was released but subsequently upgraded to Win7 then Win8 Professional with Media Center, then Win8.1 Pro with MC. [Total cost of upgrades to this Visa Home SP1 system was $39 courtesy of either HP/Microsoft or Microsoft}.

It was noted that it "Looks like Firefox is a common topic here of late." I should point out that I have used Firefox since its beta days and it has been my primary browser through every major and point release since it was 1st released shortly after I created the SI 'Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird Discussion Board; in late 2004. I seldom experience many of the legitimate problems others experience but Firefox, like other browsers will exhibit issues that require troubleshooting and solutions will differ for users for any number of reasons.
