Actually imbalance affects nothing other than those who watch Market Depth for a living as if its the holy grail. Market Depth is manipulated just for those people. I realized that 20 years ago and traded without market depth for that reason. At a chart support Market Depth(MD) would appear to have far too many shares for sale in MD to hold. people would bail the spoof removed and the stock would turn. What creates a market is Greed and Fear. It is the responsibility of the company to create Greed and the responsibility of the market to Create Fear. If Fear is winning then the company is losing. If Greed is winning the Company is winning and the market is losing.
