i've been trying for a couple of hours to imagine how chuck
could have sent emails and a donation from his deathbed
after a fatal crash before he died?

told ya he was an incredible guy.....

His wife, Pam, sent the email after he died....as his last goodbye to his friends, and they sent the check last week.

Chuck raced planes also, P-51's...I was in Cabo San Lucas with him about 30 years ago, he was flying his Piper Aerostar...we flew so low above the surf that the spray was hitting the windshield....

Mechanical genius, he built the first turbine powered hydroplane. He also built his own yacht with twin Bell helicopter turbine engines...you should see jaws drop when he fires that baby up.

Chuck and Pam both inherited great wealth, and no one handled it better. They were/are extremely generous, and enjoyed everyday to the max because the knew they were lucky to be able to. Friend's mean everything to them.

Chuck really did live by the motto "every day counts," he'd stop you, tell you how much he appreciated you, look you in the eye and tell you "every day counts, you know.."
