The Republican Potty Lyin'

Kasowitz held a press conference during which he said Trump's administration was a victim of "selective and illegal leaks of classified and privileged information" and that "Mr. Comey has now admitted that he is one of those leakers."

Trump's legal team intends to file a complaint with the Justice Department's inspector general this week alleging Comey leaked privileged information.

Comey never admitted to leaking classified information, in fact, he specifically noted in his testimony that he did not. Comey's leak of his memo is neither illegal, or a violation of Trump's Executive Privilege.

The memo Comey leaked was his own. At the time Comey leaked the information he had already been fired. He was a private citizen, not a government employee.

Trump had not invoked Executive Privilege during the dinner conversation. And by Trump having previously publicly discussed the dinner conversation, he voided any Executive Privilege protection, even if he had invoked it.
