Whenever I buy a such a large drive for storage I always buy in pairs and use the second drive as a cloning copy of the primary drive.

When you store that much data on a single drive you want to make sure you have a back-up.

I haven't had a drive die in 20 years or, but I have drives get corrupted and data of screwed up so backing up often is very important.
