That is a surprisingly large number, was the greatest amount of those failures in the late 80's or early 90's?

If I were you I would do some trend analysis with what you can recall on what drives failed and possible why?

I am a pretty active user and can't recall my last failure. I think maybe a 1 gig drive back in the early 90's?
