Bentley announced yesterday that a US Appellate Court had awarded Bentely with a $7.6 million dollar judgment relating to its 1994 suit with Medstar Inc., Maximed Inc., and Robert S. Cohen. The company did not say what portion of the judgment that they anticipated receiving. The CEO, Jim Murphy, said in response to the decision: "We applaud the courts decision. This judgment satisfactorily resolves an issue that has been before our company for a protracted period of time. We feel vindicated by our efforts to protect the assets of the Company and its shareholders. While we intend to place the lion's share of our efforts towards advancing our previously outlined plans, we will pursue all legal means to collect the judgment. At this time, however, we are not certain as to what portion of the judgment will ultimately prove collectible." The announcement was reported by Reuters, Bloomberg, Dow Jones, and The Tampa Tribune--it appears as though the news is starting to get out. Best Regards Robert W.
