For me, brands are really not an issue it is more about the type of drive which is important.

If you are concerned about dependability spend the extra $$ and buy an enterprise drive

If not buy a cheaper drive buy 2 at a time and do lots of backups

When buying a drive for NAS use, you don't need speed you want energy efficiency and usually, those drives run at slower speeds.
