jgibbs - Syntel's statement seems to support my assumption of labor shortage.

But a few months ago, Sanan of IMRS was quoted as saying that he did not see any shortage of good programmers. A retired programmer posted here once about his difficulty of getting a job. Has the labor changed suddenly? If it has, it is consistent with our expectation.

Does Syntel have a proprietary y2k tool or they license others' tools?
