Personally, I remember the WMD issue wasn't limited to nuclear and Saddam actually used chemical weapons on Iran and on his own rebellious people. He had the ability to scale his WMD production up and down at will. Some of his chemicals weapons were removed to Syria which is also a regime that uses chemical weapons against its own people. Trump actually bombed Syria over this. He took our intel agencies word that Syria had actually used them, though the government of Syria claimed it was Syrian rebels who did it.
