Jim - No, my assumptions are based on IDC's assumptions. They predict slower PC growth WW each year between now and 2001. It represents a SLOWDOWN in unit growth worldwide. If you look at my analysis, it's based on falling ASP's and declining industry unit growths in each catagory. Look at post 24721 and understand what it's projecting. If you would actually READ it, you would'nt make statements like Your assumption here is that the PC market continues to grow at the rate that it has been growing. You seem to lacking basic analytical capabilities here. I don't pull this stuff out of my rear... it's backed by sound forcasting. If you think you know more than IDC, then fine. My assumption is that you don't and just wildly speculate. MEATHEAD
