I have a serious question for the board. Please excuse if this sounds like a novice. I post here because I respect the thread members.

If one believes that interest rates in the U.S. are going to rise, then should that not imply that the dollar will become stronger, then in turn should not that imply that commodities like oil and gold will become cheaper?

I find that I have recently become a believer that interest rates will go up, yet at the same time believe that oil is bottoming, basically because I expect global demand to slowly continue to increase, faster than production increases.

Help!!
