I had forgotten about that article.

A couple of weeks ago analyst estimated that Alphabet's autonomous vehicle division could be valued at $70 billion. While I might quibble about that valuation, Alphabet has a number of divisions (robotics come to mind) that could be very attractive on a stand-alone basis.

Amazon could spin out its AWS subsidiary, though Amazon has been using the cash flow from AWS to fund its other ventures.
