Maybe I'm just mean :-)

But seriously, the men in my life have been wonderful. My father, despite his flaws, was a wonderful man- and my husband is fantastic. I can't say I understand all men- right wingers? I've no idea what makes them tick, and I've no interest in figuring them out. However, as I tell my girls when they get discouraged with men, I dated 100 men and only found 2 I thought were marriage material. And the one I didn't choose, when I saw him on Facebook, ended up having had 3 wives and being a right winger (who is now single again!). So I got the only great guy (for me) out of 100 and my husband feels the same way. When you want to be happy, and are willing to sort through people to make a life for yourself, and you know yourself- weaknesses and strengths, you make better decisions. This September will be the 36th year my husband and I have been married (4 more years, and we will get to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary!) And we've done more and lived more than I ever imagined when I said "I will" on our third date- all those years ago. I knew from our first date that he was a rare and precious person. I'm just lucky he felt the same.
