" giving money to FIJI does not one damned thing to solve the problem" There is mitigation, which is getting off of carbon, and adaptation, which is adjusting to climate change by moving, building sea walls, buying land in other countries, etc. Fiji money is to help them adapt to the problem. It's OK with me to give no adaptation money to anybody not living in US territory, as long as we vigorously pursue mitigation here.
