Money spent fighting the effects of global warming is also money which can't be spent elsewhere. That's true. Which is why we need to be thoughtful about the marginal value of prevention dollars. And why we need to start talking about adaptation and remediation. It seems to me like this fight between the warmers and the deniers is sucking up all the energy on the subject, which is 100% wasteful. Talk about opportunity cost. Adaptation and remediation are difficult topics and should be engaging us. Triage is a bitch.
