Colocation is where WCOM will physically house FTEL's Tempest on premise at their UUNET pops worldwide. Do you think they are going to allow just anybody to take up real estate within their locations?

For a fee, yes. That's long been a revenue stream of the WCOM's of the world.

Don't get me wrong. I think the news is great. I don't take it as an endorsement by WCOM, though. It looks more to me like another important step FTEL has taken. They have to get their equipment located somewhere, and co-location is surely the most cost-effective route. I'm glad they picked WCOM.
