Some good graphs of prior solar cycles identify the current period (which began in 2008) as a the first 11 yrs cycle of a Grand Minimum similar to the Dalton Minimum which began in 1798. Good intro to the life work of independent Australian researcher Jeff Sharp. Many pages of pertinent data accessible for scan reading at bottom of this initial page.
