Wang - here is some commentary on earnings estimates from Individual Investor:

ANALYSIS (Posted 9/16)

MRV Communications stock is up 30% over the
past week on no significant news. Although the
company's new gigabit ethernet products
(described in a September 5 press release) are
strategically important, these products won't
produce real revenues until next year.

Analysts expect MRV to earn $0.45 per share
this year and $0.75 per share in 1997. The
price-earnings multiple is high, but still much lower
than the forecasted growth rate. At these levels,
MRV remains an appealing choice for
growth-stock investors.
