IDC is historically neither optimistic or pessimistic but realistic. They always revise their numbers every quarter but have never been too far off. Where is your proof that they've been consistently optimistic? You must have gotten burned by MU when Rick Whittington of SoundView predicted EPS of $17/shr by 98/99.... I don't understand how you have'nt figured out by now that these two companies are entirely different... oh, I forgot, they both carry the label, "technology". Hmmm, long MU in 95, short Dell in 98... I hope not many follow your investment advice<ggg> MEATHEAD
