The people online all seem to have the same problem with that Canon series. The printer driver seems ok but the scanner driver "cannot be found". A USB patch works for some people but the problem actually comes back with any kind of update. (every Tuesday?)

Canon is slow when it comes to patches and updates, but at least they try. When I owned an Epson, their advice was to buy a newer printer/scanner. Never bought an Epson again.
