Use and Carefully Set Up the Free Ninite Installer to be easily modified ...

Ninite is here: ninite.com

As Chris Hoffman of How-to-Geek once exclaimed "Spread the Word: Ninite is the Only Safe Place to Get Windows Freeware (below) and to keep it updated semi-automatically.

Be careful setting up the Ninite installer: If you skip (or skipped) step 3 below, when originally installing Ninite you can't modify any original Ninite installer you set up and stored initially on the desktop to update the installed free apps on a regular basis, but for the next time and after deletining any prior Ninite installer button:

1. Check to select just the apps you now want

2. Click on "Get your Ninite" installer button

3. On the next page (where the download begins), you get a link named "change apps" ... Save this link to your bookmarks/favorites in your browser.

--> When run again This link brings you to the Ninite page with all your apps pre-checked, so you can easily add/remove some apps as needed. After running the installer from that link Send To the Desktop after deleting any prior Ninite Dektop Installer Icon link without the new additions or deletions.

To update all Ninite installed freeware I run the updater at least once a week and always before automatically backing up my system drive and MBR every Sunday evening.
