If a car carrying a few people (say 500-600 lbs) needs a 1200 lb battery, can we extrapolate for a semi with a maximum of 80,000 pound capacity? Wait ... that's more than the truck's hauling capacity.

If a supercharger can take up to 75 minutes to charge a Tesla passenger car, wonder what the recharge time would be for a battery powered semi?

With a max range of 300 miles and a lengthy recharge time, truck transportation would clearly have to change.

Time to bring back the Pony Express, stage coaches, and mule wagons.
