I thought some of you would like to know this. I take if for granted but realized most would not know how easy it is to get the best fresh smoked salmon in the world. I live here.

I was thinking for future reference and others who might be interested.

There is nothing like fresh smoked salmon that is caught in the open ocean before they start to turn when they hit fresh water i.e. (not from rivers) or inferior salmon like dog and humpy.

For the best, high quality, ocean caught by gil nets, (processed I 24 hours and it is always cool up here, and smoked salmon with alder, at a reasonable price use Jerry's meats in Juneau Alaska and buy mostly smoked sockeye.

They will ship cheaply.

It is so good and delectable. It is still moist it is so fresh.

To all: in Juneau we have this really top notch meat shop that does most of the quality smoking of salmon, black cod and halibut, plus other stuff.

And they will ship it at a reasonable price. The spring and summer is best because all the smoke fish is fresh. The best two by far are smoked king salmon and smoked sockeye. They are both oily. Sockeye is about a third of the cost as king and really just as good.

Silvers are good to, but dryer.

And salmon jerky is super good.

Black cod is worth a try. It is an oil fish found deep in the pacific. I like it smoked and pouched.

All you have to do is phone them up and they will fill a box and ship it to you.

They have super good crab and salmon dip as well.
