Thank you thank you thank you. While it is a question of style or perhaps semantics, the misappropriation of the term "gender" has me in a state of perpetual bunch-pantiedness. Gawd, this morning I even heard an anchordude on Nat'l Public Radio refer to the caller's "gender". Can we start a nasty letter campaign or something? I mean, NPR ougtta be a bastion, yea a redoubt for the English language. Particularly when they're not reading it offa some teletype and have some poor benighted Reuters hack to take the fall.
