When we were in business for 25 years we paid for our software it was 7,000 dollars one time payment, and paid a monthly fee for updated data. Then they went to a subscription based service with new software and it was 550 per month.

A lot more than what we paid for and over the years it added up, but we still made a profit.

I do NOT like the idea of consumers going to a subscription based service. I have Photoshop CS5 and After Effects CS 6. They cost a lot of money to buy, and I have been using Photoshop since the 90's upgrading every so often.

I will not pay them for Photoshop CC 10 bucks a moth when my older version of Photoshop does what I need.
