You brought to light one of the less highlighted areas of concern in the embedded systems arena, the security systems.

Many operations, nukes for instance, must combine security with operational requirements. So the question is, if you have a y2k oriented breach of security (ie: inability to secure special access areas), could that lead to an mandatory halt in operations until minimum security requirements are reestablished?? The security requirements of a Nuclear Plant far outreach putting on a few more security guards.

What are your thoughts on the issue?? And are your folks having to reinstall/replace your already established systems??
