JGoren: Re: "Qcom checks every single phone that goes out of the factory"
This week we put 14 QCP 1900s into service. The phones were supplied at no cost by Primeco as "factory reconditioned". The results were as follows; 9 worked as expected, 3 batteries failed to charge, 1 did nothing and one charger indicates phone not charged regardless of battery status.

These phones were either demos or customer returns that were supposedly reconditioned. We don't know if the phones were returned to Qualcomm or not but the reaction of our maintenance supervisor was "Hey, Ron you better tell Qualcomm they need to improve their QC."

Response by Primeco was satisfactory in that they will replace all faulty equipment. The impression remains, however, that Qualcomm has some units in the market place which are less than acceptable.

As a QCOM stockholder and fan I hesitate to make this post but thought it may be of benefit to share the negative as well as the positive.

edit ps: Just read Surfer Mike's post about the Niners going to SD.
Can't be Mike--- I'm making reservations to SD as I write this to watch the Packers beat qdogs' Steelers.
