Seems to me you have come very late to a discussion and are acting like this is new material. I suggest you go back and read the thread for christ sake...and if not for his, for the rest of us who have gone through this discussion on a number of occasions. Pogue has presented answers to your questions years ago. Why should he be required to answer your questions because you are too lazy to go back and search the thread?

Anyone taking a calcium supplement is killing themselves slowly. Do not take calcium supplements. You want to get calcium into your bones look at the forms of Vitamin K2 and K7 ( For you I would recommend Natto if you can get it.) Which should be taken with D3. D3's effects are subtle. It takes years to understand what is happening. It is safer than ibuprofen or aspirin.

I took 40K iu a day for two years. I watched my blood levels and when my PTH began to fall I dropped back to 10 to 20k iu a day, with some no dose days thrown i. . My feeling is that when taken as part of group of supplements it is not dangerous, as long as it is monitored. My teeth no longer chip and fracture. My bones are stronger. Chronic pain has been reduced. My doctors ask me what I am doing to stay so fit. When I mention D3 they often smerk. What do they know, they are all old at 55. Doctors do not take much physiology, they don't understand massage, they are like the counter help at McDonalds.....'Can I take your order please?' Do you want a double order of that drug? " They don't know how to stay healthy. They only know how to die slowly.
