Figures. Cold pathetic unlovable person is the most admired in SV: "Last year Vanity Fair anointed her the most influential figure in the technology industry, surpassing Steve Jobs." As a Guru, Ayn Rand May Have Limits. Ask Travis Kalanick. I've been a LIBERtarian since the 1970s... long before the Johnny Come Lately CONSERVatarians took over the party with their one issue economic anarchy stance. I'm a libertarian with a heart. Never liked Ms. Rand, in fact I've always found her to be a pathetic human being. Adam Curtis is my favorite documentarian... I'd call him a genius. He says he verges upon being a libertarian... and despite the fact many of his documentaries are rather ominous he's an optimist. He seems not too fond of Rand, or her friend Edward Bernays, or her other friend Alan Greenspan. The Century of the Self One of the best documentaries ever made... completely absorbing. Change me.
