Emory: Thanks. I didn't get to see the Discovery segment. wonder if I can get a transcript??

I's still not clear to me if the jewlers knew beforehand of SiCs role as a faux diamond? If they thought the only faux diamonds were cubic zirconium, Austrian crystal and cut glass, they would only check for those defining characteristics.

Also, did the jewlers actually appraise the SiC crystals? Did they provide an appraisal report suitable for insurance purposes such as provided by The International Gemmological Information Appraisal Report which consists of:

- Effective Date
- Description
- Content and weight of precious metals, where applicable weight,
measurements, shape, cut finish, proportions, clarity and color of the
- gem(s)
- Identification
- Photograph
- Plot or diagram of inclusions within a diamond (over .75 ct)
- Appraised Value for insurance purposes
- Signature of Appraiser
- Corporate Seal
- Statement of Certification

If a SiC crystal can routinely be misstaken for diamond in an insurance appraisal, I'll invest. Unfortunately, I still haven't been able to determine if that's the case.

froland.
