FOX has never had a successful comedy show, though they have tried. The reason as you allude to is context, things are only funny if they juxtaposition the truth and FOX only presents the truth by accident once in a while. If a joke isn't based on the truth somehow, it isn't funny. Every single funny person I know of is a liberal. That is not because liberals are funnier, it is because they see the truth and so have something to work with. The one exception I know of, is Dennis Miller to some degree, but he is also repulsive. Don't know what happened to him? <<Right wingers try to be funny and fall on their petards because they do not question authority and power - they promote it. A joke is contextual.
