Shared interests, my ass. Russia is protecting North Korea from UNSC sanctions right now. It arms and supports Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba. The last three nation governments can only stay in power because Moscow is propping them up. All of these nations regularly threaten the US verbally and basically define themselves as anti-American.

The breakup of the USSR was one of the great achievements of the Reagan-Bush administrations. But Vladimir Putin says that breakup was the greatest geopolitical tragedy of the century.

Not the world wars, genocidal holocaust, SE Asian killing fields, the Soviet gulag, the 100M + killed by their own governments .... the collapse of the USSR was the worst thing.

Putin has killed dozens of journalists, critics, an auditor, within the USSR and over a dozen in the United Kingdom. He'll be killing people here in ... assuming he hasn't already started.
