Medicare reimbursement for Second Sight's Argus may drop 19% next year The U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has proposed a new reimbursement code for Second Sight Medical's (NASDAQ: EYES) Argus II Retinal Prosthesis System in 2018 that would, if enacted, reduce reimbursement to ~$122K from $150K this year. The company says it will comment on the proposed change to CMS in the coming months. The final rule will be released in mid-Q4.
